This is a music download website for independent and unsigned bands. Every record is available for download at the same price: $3.50.
Each record is encoded in 245 kbps, VO, LAME, MP3 format. This is hi-fi for a download, and will sound good on a stereo as well as on an ipod. A high-resolution PDF of the cover-art is included with the songs in the download.
Pig Zen Space began in 1992 as Pig Zen's Pace and was the name Capsize 7 (my defunct rock band of the post-punk genre) gave to the little record label it self-released 7-inches on. A "seven inch" is a vinyl record. My current band Blag'ard is touring and making records, and those records are avialable for download here.
This website is a place for independent and hardworking bands to sell downloads. The bands keep $2.75 out of every $3.50 sold. There is no setup cost to the band, but Pig Zen Space keeps the take from the first 7 downloads. An artist can keep those first 7 sales by participating in the Pig Zen Space Referral Program. Each artist has a password protected 'bandstats' page where they can see their sales, pageviews and songplays.
The Pig Zen Space Referral Program is a way for bands to keep the money from their first seven sales by refering another hardworking band to Pig Zen Space. I will remove one of the first 7 sales that I would otherwise withhold payment on for each new Artist referred to Pig Zen Space by any band on the website.
When you purchase a record on Pig Zen Space
your credit card information is being handled by Authorize.Net, the
largest payment gateway service provider with a user base of over
212,000 merchants. I like to think of myself as number
212,001. I never see your credit card number, that's what a
payment gateway is for.
All personal information which
you enter when you become a member of Pig Zen Space is
considered confidential and will never be shared with anyone. Please enter your correct street address because I use an address verification system to prevent credit card fraud.
